Abstract

Recently, COconversion technology has attracted a lots of attention due to climate change. Capturing, storage and conversion of COinto useful chemicals or fuels are urgent demands for the solution climate change issues because COand methane are regarded as the most critical gas molecules for the green house effect of the earth. So many research groups have worked on those kinds of research. Among those technologies, COconversion technology still has a lots of bottle neck for the high conversion efficiency because it has so many complicated process in the aspect of thermodynamics, kinetics, electron transfer, proton transfer and optimization of the COconversion energy for the product selection. In this talk, we will suggest and prove the solution methods for the high efficiency of COconversion into liquid fuels. The four critical approaches based on the thermodynamics, kinetics, photochemistry, electrochemistry and combined approaching fused critical are 1) sequential multi-electron shuttling function, COconversion reaction energy tuning to have product selectivity, COactivation and electron/proton one pot reaction to produce liquid fuel product. Also the similar approaching methods will be applied for the Nconversion into NHto store Hgas fuel. Waste plastics can be utilized by recycling or upcycling by degradation into fuels like gasoline or diesel. This approaches have been studied so intensively at high temperature degradation above 600 oC. It requires high input energy cost and process cost of the facility and devices. So this can be done at lower temperature less than 300 oC based on the defectronics of the catalysts by inducing ionic character of C-C and C-H bonds to decrease degradation temperature. In this talk, we will discuss on the breakthrough technologies for the carbon neutrality to overcome climate change problem.

Key words COconversion liquid fuel, sequential multi-electron shuttling function, COconversion reaction energy tuning to have product selectivity, COactivation and electron/proton one pot reaction, NHproduction, waste plastics degradation, defectronics
